At the University of Basel, he teaches Plant systematics (12231), Flora and vegetation of the region Basel (19595), Ecology and evolution of mediterranean systems (19653), Flower biology (11938), and Herbarium methods (19521).
Aurélie is the curator of the BASBG herbarium. Before joining the Basel Herbaria team in August 2021, she worked for the herbaria of Montpellier (MPU), the Natural History Museum London (BM) and Kew Gardens (K). She is interested in the use of herbaria in science and research, as well as in other areas such as public education or the arts.
Aurélie's botanical interests are numerous, focusing mainly on ferns and the African Acanthaceae (subfamily Whitfieldieae).
Dr. Hani El Suede is is a trained archaeozoologist and long time collaborator in the digitalisation of the Basel Botanical Society herbarium (BASBG).

Andreas Huber is an honorary member of the Basler Botanical Society and has actively supported the herbarium for dozens of years. A horticulturalist by training, his activities include specimen revisions, pest management, and hosting visitors.
